GlacioBasis Nuuk is a sub-program of the Greenland Ecological Monitoring (GEM), and the newest addition to the Nuuk locality (NERO). On the small mountain glacier Qasigiannguit in the Kobbefjord catchment, we monitor surface elevation, discharge and atmospheric parameters in order to determine the glacier’s dynamics, mass- and energy balance.
The results are reported to the international networks of GEM and PROMICE, and are freely available for download from the GEM database.
