Today is a day of celebration! For the first time ever, larger aircraft can land in Nuuk on the new 2.200-metre-long runway. The opening of the new airport is a historic milestone for the city, but also for the whole of Greenland.
Since the start of the project, Asiaq’s surveyors have helped with the surveying and control of the construction of the new airport building, the control tower and the new runway. It has been a work characterized by great precision, and we are proud to have contributed to such a large and significant construction project.
Congratulations to all of us! Let’s celebrate this amazing day and the future that lies ahead of us with the many new opportunities that the airport opens up for.
